🐾 A bit about the role
Reporting into the People Manager, you will be an integral part of the Butternut squad. We currently have over 600 squad members in Operations across two sites, both based at Blyth, Worksop. You’ll partner with the teams on site to ensure our squad members feel valued, listened to and part of our Butternut Box journey. You’ll also bring a sprinkling of fun along the way through surprise and delight, and engagement activities.
Employee Advocate & Communication
- Partner with people leaders and squad members to ensure a great squad experience
- Drive key engagement messages through our people leaders and pulse check engagement levels of our squad members through engagement surveys, regular presence in our Kitchen, Pantry, Coffee & Connect forums, and informal conversations with the teams.
- Conduct, prepare and analyse information to tailor our People Team service to the needs of our squad and to inform our People strategy.
Team Development
- Coach and support People Leader competency in managing their squad including performance management, development, and engagement
- Supporting People Leaders in the application of policies and procedures, maintaining high standards across all areas and delivered in line with our Butternut values
- Managing absence, discipline & grievance cases and driving plans that deal with improvement & root cause
- Champion our diversity and inclusion plans in partnership with our, People Experience Specialist, Senior L&D Specialist and Senior Recruiter on site
- Drive Talent Reviews and subsequent actions to develop a high performing culture by supporting the Feedback Cycle, development plans, talent mapping and coaching people leaders through challenging conversations
- Partner with People Leaders to execute localised wellbeing and engagement plans for our squad
People Team Focus
- Working with the people team to deploy a 12 month strategy focused on:
- Keeping squad member engagement at the forefront of everything we do and supporting the delivery of high impact engagement plans across all areas
- Partner with our Recruitment team and People Experience Specialist on a first class candidate to employee experience
- Working closely alongside the wider people team to provide a seamless service to our key stakeholders
